Welcome to my website. I am a Ph.D. student and Part-Time Instructor in political science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. My primary areas of study are local politics, legislative politics, and empirical research methodology. My dissertation focuses on cooperation and competition amongst cities trying to economically develop. I recently published an article in Social Science Quarterly on the geographic politics of local redistributive spending.
Prior to graduate school, I worked as an aide to U.S. Senator Paul S. Sarbanes of Maryland. Be sure to visit the links above for information about my research, links to the websites I like to visit, and to see photos from my travels to Africa, South America, and around Colorado.
For my students, click on the Teaching link above to access course-related information and resources.
